The technology group Wärtsilä, has launched its new state-of-the-art Training Services Centre and Digital Expertise Centre in Jakarta, Indonesia. These service centres will help monitor our customer’s installations thus optimizing the lifecycle value, leading towards profitability and a new level of equipment performance and operational efficiency. The new facilities were officially inaugurated by Wärtsilä Board of Management members Javier Cavada and Pierpaolo Barbone; the Finnish Ambassador to Indonesia,. H.E. Ms Päivi Hiltunen -Toivio and Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) Regional Business Director, Bapak Machnizon on November 8, 2017, at Wärtsilä’s office located at Halim Airport.
Wärtsilä customers’ business is supported throughout the lifecycle of their installations with availability of local high quality services, parts as well as expert support. This is carried out by introducing new facilities that can add value to our services such as the Training Service Centre and Digital Expertise Centre as well as other service capabilities.
Wärtsilä Indonesia is a leader in power generation in the country, delivering nearly 4 gigawatts (GW) of energy to the national grid. With smart power generation technology, Wärtsilä plays a leading role in supplying flexible power, both in terms of load and fuels. Recently, Wärtsilä Indonesia announced that it will equip a peaking (Combined Cycle) power plant in Lombok, Indonesia. In addition, Wärtsilä Corporation and Wärtsilä Indonesia are also involved in providing electricity in Bangkanai and most of the eastern Indonesian Islands.

Wärtsilä Training services centre opens up exciting new opportunities for developing the performance of the workforce, covering all aspects of management, operation, maintenance and safety issues, reliability and performance of the customers’ power or marine installations.
Wärtsilä has 10 training services centres around the world. At each of these training centres, Wärtsilä is able to provide the correct team of experienced training engineers and specialists that can deliver courses to meet the individual needs of ship owners and power plant operators.
Wärtsilä Digital Expertise Centre guarantees top technical assistance through the Wärtsilä remote monitoring and Operator’s Interface systems, which provide prompt support on predictive services, operational services and emergency services to energy and marine customers. It provides real time support, thus ensuring reliable operations, increasing revenue potential, and transparency.
