The following appointments have been made at Wärtsilä Power Plants:
As of 1 October 2006, Mr. Rakesh Sarin is appointed Vice President, Sales and Marketing. He heads the global Power Plants sales organization with the Regional Directors reporting to him.
As of 15 May 2006, Mr. Tore Björkman has been appointed Vice President, Sales Management with responsibility for technical and commercial sales support.
As of 1 September 2006 Mr. Banmali Agrawala is appointed Vice President, Biomass Power Plants. He also remains in his position as Managing Director of Wärtsilä India, Ltd. and will continue to be based in Mumbai. Mr. Pasi Rantonen continues as President of Wärtsilä Biopower Oy and reports to Banmali Agrawala.
All VP’s report to Christoph Vitzthum, Group Vice President and Head of Wärtsilä Power Plants, and are members of the Power Plants business board.
