Subscription of shares under Wärtsilä’s 2001 option scheme began on 1 April 2003. Altogether 54,712 options were exercised between 7 and 31 March 2007, in accordance with the terms of the scheme, entitling subscription of 82,068 Wärtsilä B shares. The increase in share capital resulting from these subscriptions totals EUR 287,238.00.
Under the terms of the 2002 option scheme the share subscription period began on 1 April 2004. Altogether 2,000 options were exercised between 7 and 31 March 2007, in accordance with the terms of the scheme, entitling subscription of 3,000 Wärtsilä B shares. The increase in share capital resulting from these subscriptions totals EUR 10,500.00.
The total increase in the company’s share capital is EUR 297,738.00, after which the share capital amounts to EUR 335,256,827.50 and the total number of shares to 95,787,665 divided into 23,579,587 Series A shares and 72,208,078 Series B shares.
The company will register the increase in share capital in the Trade Register.
A total of 3,237,048 shares, representing 3.5% of the total share capital, have been subscribed during the subscription period of the 2001 and 2002 option schemes. Altogether 212,962 shares, representing 0.2% of the share capital, remain unsubscribed.
