A manual describing means of access to carry out overall and close-up inspections and thickness measurements. Required for oil tankers of 500 gross tonnage and over, and bulk carriers of 20,000 gross tonnage and over, constructed on or after 1 January 2006. The SSAM shall be approved by the Administration, and an updated copy shall be kept on board.
