The cost of liquefaction and associated facilities makes the exploitation of smaller reserves a costly affair. The Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) concept is costeffective solution for transporting natural gas from the production site to the consumers. The key of this concept is specially-equipped ship with pressurised containment systems to transport gas under high pressure; see Coselle CNG System. CNG (compressed natural gas) carrier does not require a gas liquefaction plant or LNG storage tanks.
