By “Arrest” is meant the detention of a ship because of some infringement of regulations, either port or national. When a maritime lien is to be exercised the ship may also be “arrested”. Such a lien may arise when the ship is the subject of a salvage award. Arrest may also arise in the event of collision disputes. The policy does not cover any of these.
