Wärtsilä released new exercise areas for Navi-Trainer Professional (NTPRO) 5000 ver. 5.35/5.40 – the Titicaca lake and the Fraser river. The exercise areas are designed to ensure hands-on, realistic experience.
Titicaca – a large, deep lake in the Andes on the border of Bolivia and Peru, often called the "highest navigable lake" in the world.
The exercise area is designed for the purposes of common navigational training and mooring exercises
at the following piers:
- Copacabana Terminal
- San Pedro de Tiquina
- Guaqui Terminal
Fraser river is the longest river within British Columbia, Canada – 854 miles (1,375 km), very rich in salmon and sturgeon fish. Navigational concerns include significant changes in channel depths, unreliable navigation buoys, floating wood debris
etc.
Almost every car that comes to Canada from Asia goes through the Annacis auto terminal, as well as the Richmond auto terminal. Both of these terminals are located on the Fraser River and receive nearly 100% of all Asian-manufactured imports.
