29.5. Suomen veturiyritykset kokoontuivat yhteen Business Finlanding veturivarikko-tapahtumaan. Tapahtuma toteutettiin yhteistyössä kaikkien Pohjanmaan veturiyritysten, eli Wärtsilän, Danfossin, Mirkan ja ABB:n, kesken ja järjestettiin Wärtsilän Sustainable Technollogy Hubissa Vaasassa. Tässä tapahtumassa Suomen veturiaseman saaneet yritykset kokoontuivat keskustelemaan ja jakamaan parhaita käytäntöjä keskenään.
Tällä kertaa paikalla oli useita uusia vetureita esittäytymässä. Eleonor Hedström, WISE-ohjelman ekosysteemijohtaja, esitteli WISEa tapahtuman aikana ja oli kaiken kaikkiaan tyytyväinen onnistuneeseen tapahtumaan WISE:n kannalta.
”Olin ylpeä esitellessäni toista veturihankettamme, WISE – Wide & Intelligent Sustainable Energyä, yhdessä muiden uusien veturien, kuten Valion, Kempowerin ja Patrian kanssa. Esitykset toivat esiin yhteisen tarinan kestävyydestä ja digitalisaatiosta, näyttäen innovatiiviset askeleet, joita tällä alalla otetaan”, hän sanoi.
Overall, there were over 40 participants, and the hosts were happy to see that almost all of the other leading company projects were represent at the event. This created an excellent atmosphere for discussion.
“These networking and sharing experiences with other leading companies leads to closer collaboration between us. In addition, we had a great and open dialogue with Business Finland on how to increase the number of SMEs through universities of applied sciences in the Veturi projects. We also touched upon the subject of how to improve the connection between basic research and the exploitations of the findings by the leading companies,” said Kenneth Widell, GM Research Coordination & Funding, head of both ZEM and WISE.
