Underwater dry stern seal replacement system developed by the Subsea Solutions Alliance. The main element of the system is portable, flexible, dry habitat fitting over the entire stern seal between the stern tube and propeller. Compressed air is used to displace the seawater and provide a dry environment to carry out repairs. All work that previously was possible in drydock only can be done dockside without changes in the vessel schedule.
